At the end of November, our Senior Consultant Marcos Garcia Villas attended the Veeva Commercial Summit 2023 in Madrid and came away with many exciting insights from this year’s event. But what is the Veeva Summit?
Profile:
The Veeva Commercial Summit takes place annually and is one of the largest meetings of the life science industry in Europe with over 1,200 participants. Speakers at the Veeva Summit include representatives from leading life science companies such as Astellas, Bayer, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, GSK, Kite Pharma and Merck KGaA from Darmstadt.
The focus of this year’s Veeva event was to showcase digital innovations and new technologies for the life sciences sector, particularly relevant to sales, marketing and medical professionals. In addition to keynotes from Veeva experts and leading HCPs showcasing the latest innovations, various sessions and networking events were held.
The Veeva Commercial Summit has undoubtedly been a success with
1200+ attendees
150+ life science companies and
100+ sessions
making a big impact on the life sciences industry. We are curious to see what important insights Marcos took home with him.
Key takeaways from our senior consultant:
- Vault CRM Migration: Veeva has developed a migration plan for small, medium and large Veeva CRM configurations for those customers who want to move to Vault CRM – it will be exciting to see who among the life sciences companies makes this move and who may turn to an alternative CRM solution.
- Veeva is trying to cover areas where it does not yet offer solutions for life sciences companies, such as a service center and a marketing automation solution, in order to position itself even more attractively as a full-stack solution provider.
- Open Data, Veeva’s customer database solution, is attracting growing interest as an alternative to IQVIA’s OneKey. In addition to Bayer, which has already officially confirmed that it has chosen the product, other major players among the life sciences companies are also taking a closer look at this option.
As a partner to numerous companies in the life sciences sector, it is exciting for us to see the momentum with which topics are being driven forward – on the one hand by Veeva itself, but also by Veeva’s customers, who are clearly formulating their expectations and thus keeping up the pressure. With Veeva’s decision to break away from Salesforce and go its own way, the areas of data integration, data analytics, data insights and customer engagement that we cover will become even more diverse and we look forward to supporting our customers on their journey as usual.
P.S. Did you know that Veeva CRM can be used to collect customer engagement data? Check out this blog post to learn more about the types of customer engagement data that can be collected using the Veeva CRM system.
